The assassin is the burst-damage class. Of its 25 champions, 20 play as fighters and 5 as tanks, and in both lanes the game is the same: dodge and punish. Backstab and Flurry break targets fast from the fighter lane, Execute finishes off those running low on health and, as a tank, Shadow Cloak lets it dodge a good share of the blows instead of taking them.
Its weak point is not in the figures but in the skills: the assassin fighter’s are all offensive and none of them protects it, so it depends on its own tank holding on. There are 11 Rookies, 4 Prospects, 6 Pros, 3 Stars and 1 Legend, and by ara 10 Sun, 11 Moon and 4 Tide.
Assassins in figures
| Category | Champions | Power | Value | Wage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Legend | 1 | 7,742–7,742 | 4,933–4,933 | 65–65 |
| Star | 3 | 3,524–4,456 | 1,143–1,828 | 25–32 |
| Pro | 6 | 2,318–3,073 | 612–1,076 | 13–17 |
| Prospect | 4 | 1,593–2,216 | 302–584 | 5–8 |
| Rookie | 11 | 1,183–1,814 | 155–366 | 2–4 |
An assassin’s power runs from 1,183 to 7,742; the strongest is Zarsor, a Legend, with 7,742. The class’s 5 tanks play differently: with Shadow Cloak they dodge instead of absorbing, and the card’s power does not fully capture that. By race there are 12 undead, 11 humans and 2 demons.
Skills a assassin can learn
- As a tank: Shadow Cloak and Taunt.
- As a fighter: Execute, Backstab and Flurry.
On top of that, every race has skills of its own that any of its champions can learn: Adaptive for humans, Undying and Curse for the undead, Hellfire and Curse for demons, Predator for beasts, Grace for elves and Fury for orcs; undead and demon shooters can also learn Life Steal. Each champion has two slots, every skill costs one orb, and orbs only come from the cup podium.
Backstab was, with Duelist and Lucky Shot, the fighter skill that raised win chance the most in the guide’s simulations (between 14 and 17 points), and Shadow Cloak came in at 15 to 16 on a tank. Execute and Flurry are the alternative once the first slot is taken.
The best of each category
Two per category, ordered by power. A tank’s power is not comparable with a fighter’s or a shooter’s, because a tank hits less by design: that is why the table shows the lane.
