The knight is Triara’s tank par excellence, even if the catalogue suggests otherwise: of its 37 champions, 30 play as fighters and only 7 as tanks. The reputation comes from the skills. Hard Block, Tough Skin, Retribution, Shield Master and Fortress all belong to the knight tank, and three of them are among the skills that raise win chance the most in the whole game. A knight tank with two of them is the most reliable wall you can put in front of a shooter.
As a fighter it is a heavy hitter: Shield Bash and Heavy Blow give it punch, and Last Stand and Payback keep it standing. There are knights in all five categories (7 Rookies, 13 Prospects, 11 Pros, 4 Stars and 2 Legends), most of them Prospects and Pros, and by ara 24 Sun, 6 Moon and 7 Tide.
Knights in figures
| Category | Champions | Power | Value | Wage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Legend | 2 | 5,417–5,927 | 2,415–2,891 | 45–49 |
| Star | 4 | 3,398–4,326 | 1,063–1,723 | 24–31 |
| Pro | 11 | 2,141–3,052 | 522–1,061 | 12–17 |
| Prospect | 13 | 1,879–2,374 | 420–671 | 6–8 |
| Rookie | 7 | 1,297–1,574 | 187–275 | 3–3 |
A knight’s power runs from 1,297 to 5,927; the strongest is Zarus, a Legend, with 5,927, and the most powerful tank is Selen (3,398). By race there are 21 humans, 13 undead, 2 beasts and 1 demon.
Skills a knight can learn
- As a tank: Tough Skin, Second Wind, Last Stand, Retribution, Shield Master, Fortress, Payback, Hard Block, Taunt and Shield Bash.
- As a fighter: Last Stand, Heavy Blow, Payback and Shield Bash.
On top of that, every race has skills of its own that any of its champions can learn: Adaptive for humans, Undying and Curse for the undead, Hellfire and Curse for demons, Predator for beasts, Grace for elves and Fury for orcs; undead and demon shooters can also learn Life Steal. Each champion has two slots, every skill costs one orb, and orbs only come from the cup podium.
In the guide’s simulations, Hard Block, Retribution and Tough Skin each added between 15 and 16 points of win chance on a tank, and Shield Bash between 14 and 17 on a fighter. For a knight tank’s second skill, Fortress alongside Hard Block or Retribution comes close to 30 points.
The best of each category
Two per category, ordered by power. A tank’s power is not comparable with a fighter’s or a shooter’s, because a tank hits less by design: that is why the table shows the lane.
